Blarney Castle & Environs
A tour around Blarney Castle built nearly six hundred years ago by Chieftan Cormac MacCarthy, followed by a short journey into Cork City and the Old English Market a unique location for Lunch dating back to 1788.
The return leg of the journey takes in the enchanting Gougane Barra Lake area of South West Co. Cork & the well known St Finbarr’s Oratory & remains of St Finbarr’s monastery from the 6th century.
Cliffs of Moher
Starting with Dromoland Castle and then on to the breath-taking Cliffs of Moher followed by Historic Doonagore Castle. We will visit a Traditional Irish Pub for lunch.
Our return journey will be via the spectacular Clare coast and a ferry journey across the River Shannon to Kerry. Our final stop will be Ratoo Round Tower or a stop at John B. Keane’s pub in the town of Listowel.
Dingle Peninsula
Travel the iconic Dingle Peninsula towards Inch Beach & the famous Cliff road to Dingle passing Annascaul village. The spectacular Ocean views & winding roads carry us down into Dingle town & we then head West past 6th Century Stone Beehive huts before reaching Slea Head with views of the Blasket Islands.
This is the most westerly point in Ireland …next parish is America!
Ring of Kerry
Starting with the Killarney Golf and Fishing Club located on the shores of Killarney’s Lough Leane, then drive through Killorglin towards Dingle Bay & Caherciveen. Visiting ancient Ring Forts & Ballycarbery Castle and on to Valentia Island by car ferry. Lunch in the fishing village of Portmagee & then the road climbs towards Coomanaspic Pass with magnificent views on both sides, drive the Sceilig Ring and view the Unesco heritage site of the Sceilig Rock. McCarthys Castle in Ballinskelligs, Waterville, & stunning views the Ocean & Kenmare Bay. Our next stop is Derrynane Harbour and House with its beautiful gardens and fairy houses and much more…
LAKES OF Killarney & THE GAP OF DUNLOE
Heading first to Ross Castle from where your boat trip through the Lakes of Killarney will depart. Starting off in Lough Leane, visit Innisfallen island with 7th century monastery, then journey through magical scenery of the Middle Lake & the Meeting of the Waters at Dinis Cottage & onto Upper Lake before landing at Lord Brandon’s Cottage for refreshments.
You can then take a jaunting car or walk the 7 mile journey through the Gap of Dunloe & arrive at Kate Kearney’s Cottage.
Killarney Experience
Following collection from your Accommodation in Killarney we head out to visit Ross Castle located on the edge of Lough Leane & then on to Innisfallen Island via enjoyable local boat trip.
We will then progress via spectacular mountain roadways through ancient woodland intermixed with lakes to the famous Ladies View with stunning vistas of the Lakes of Killarney.
Torc Waterfall is our next stop followed by exquisite Muckross House and Gardens.
Skellig Ring Tour
We will collect you and head South on the Ring of Kerry towards Valentia Island where we will visit the Slate Quarry, Valentia Island Lighthouse on Cromwell’s Point & Bray Head. We will then visit the High Cliffs followed by lunch in the little fishing of Portmagee.
After lunch we drive to St Finians Bay & board the boat to tour around the spectacular and magical uninhabited Puffin Island with their abundant wildlife & sea birds.
Then we visit Cill Rialig Famine Village, now developed into an artist’s retreat. McCarthy’s Castle at Ballinskelligs strand is our next stop, following which we will head back through Bealach Oisin skirting the MacGillycuddy Reeks and lofty Carrauntoohil returning then to Killarney.
