This is a very special day out
Throughout this day we provide you with a unique opportunity to visit a selection of the top award winning local food producers & suppliers in Kerry while at the same time experiencing the landscape and beautiful Kerry scenery. We will tour the Ring of Kerry and visit the food producers and suppliers where you have the option to purchase some local produce that we will store in a refrigerator in our vehicle.
Chef Mark Doe
At the end of the day we will then bring your selection of food to Mark and Bernie Doe of Just Cooking. Mark is a top chef who worked in the Ritz Hotel in London and the Merrion Hotel in Dublin, he now runs a cookery school entitled ‘Just Cooking’ in Firies, a fifteen minute drive from Killarney.
Mark will cook your dishes in front of you while you eat and chat with him. Mark’s kitchen and eating area are purpose built to facilitate easy interaction with Mark whilst eating your meal and drinking your wine.

You have your own private Chef and private restaurant for dinner with the menu purchased and selected by yourself. Culinary intimacy which is second to none!
We will collect you at your accommodation at 9.00 a.m. and depart along the Ring of Kerry. We will visit local food suppliers along the Ring of Kerry and you can decide what you will eat for your evening meal and purchase the menu along the journey. We have a refrigerator in the back of the car where all your items can be stored until we deliver them to the Chef.
Some of the award winning producers and suppliers we will visit include:
- Sásta Sausage and Pudding Company using locally sourced pork and following their own recipes in their home village of Cromane.
- Ring of Kerry Quality Lamb Killorglin
- Quinlans Smoked Salmon Caherciveen
- Brown Crab in Portmagee
- Skellig Chocolate Factory St Finian’s Bay for locally made chocolates.
- O’Connells Poultry Farm for chicken and duck.
