We will collect you at your accommodation and head South on the Ring of Kerry. Our first port of call will be Valentia Island where we will visit the Slate Quarry, Valentia Island Lighthouse on Cromwell’s Point and Bray Head where the transatlantic cable first connected Europe to America in 1858. We will then visit the High Cliffs followed by lunch in the little fishing of Portmagee.

After lunch, we will drive to St Finians Bay where we will board the boat to tour around the spectacular and magical uninhabited Puffin Island where wildlife and a wonderful array of sea birds are in abundance.
We will then visit Cill Rialig Famine Village which is now developed into an artist’s retreat. McCarthy’s Castle at Ballinskelligs strand is our next stop, following which we will head back through Bealach Oisin skirting the MacGillycuddy Reeks and Carrauntoohil, the highest mountain in Ireland , and return to Killarney.
This is a new tour which is unique to Wild Atlantic Tours.
